IFA China winners announced

China Watch Blog has obtained the full results of International Forwarders Award – China 2011 (IFA China 2011). Top independent forwarders and logistics providers in the region and from around the world were honoured on May 19 at the prestigious ceremony held in Ningbo city, Zhejiang province, China.

The IFA China 2011, organized jointly by GCTL8.com, China Logistics Club and The Freight Summit (TFS), fully supported by the Ningbo Association of Port-of-Entry – a government body, was attended by leading Chinese officials – Xu Gaochun, Vice General Secretary of Ningbo MeiShan Port, Cao Jiangzhi, Deputy Director of the Trade Administration, Jiangdo District, Ningbo City, and several other officials. They also attended the gala dinner held to honour the Award winners.

“Winners and runners-up in 14 categories were selected impartially through an online voting system as well as through an email voting system. The votes for the nominees were judged by an independent panel of judges. Nominees for the awards were voted by their agents, customers and business associates based on their excellence in services,” said Nils Walle, Director of RW Solutions, whose CEO is Christian Raeuber. RW Solutions is the organizer of TFS, and also a co-organiser of IFA China 2011. The list of winners and runners-up who received crystal plaques and certificates at the ceremony are listed below.

Logistics, Innovation and Creativity Winner: OnOn Shipping, Runner Up: IES, Ltd., Special Awards: Aaras Shipping Agencies (PVT) Ltd. – Excellence in Shipping Agency Services, Global Logistics Shield – Best Payment Protection Program, Logistics Executive – Excellence in Personnel Development, Copenhagen Business School (CBS) – Best Education Program Henrik Christensen, who heads the China Logistics Club, and also co-organiser of IFA China 2011, expressed his thanks to all the Chinese officials and the forwarders and logistics services providers who took part in IFA China 2011, and hoped they would continue to renew their support and cooperation to IFA China event in the near future.

Earlier, in his opening address at the IFA China, Wong Joon San, CEO of GCTL8.com stressed that the event’s aim was not only to recognize the Small and Medium-Sized Freight Forwarder and Logistics Services Providers’ important role in trade and commerce, but also to underline the fact that they must be knowledgeable about international trade and commerce and forwarding practice plus other knowledge for performing several functions, which are incidental to, but necessary for the international carriage of goods.
